ntlworld.com email inbox empty!

Tonight I logged in to my ntlworld.com email account only to find it was virtually empty!!, nothing in inbox, nothing in most of my folders and yet there were lots in my drafts folder even though I had not started any emails. I have important information regarding a funeral in there but it's all just disappeared. What is going on? can anyone explain please.

I also logged in to this community just now, had to change my password and the password re-set reply was sent to my spam folder on gmail.

HELLO, I have the same issues - I have been with VM since it was Diamond Cable and have always had the same email address so everyone knows it - I am also a paying customer so it's disturbing to find all my emails gone!

my email inbox says empty....I tried the suggestion you mentioned about Auto forward but the message box displays the box to write email address in but a no entry symbols is shown when I hover over where to input the email address...so please help me too.Thank you

That sounds as if you need to move the slider button at the top of that box over to the right.  It will then turn green and you should be then able to enter an email address.

That means any new emails arriving in your account will be forwarded to your other email address.

But that's a not a solution to your problem because once VM delete your VM email account any new emails sent to your VM email address will be rejected back to the sender as being undeliverable.

I seem to have lost a few emails in one folder. I have had an ntlworld.com email for years

Do you use an email app or client such as Microsoft Outlook or the Mail app to manage your Ntlworld emails?

The standard IMAP protocol used by all apps/clients is designed to keep email folders "in sync" across your apps and the VM webmail service. That means that if emails get inadvertently deleted in the app/client they will be deleted from your Webmail account as well.

"I have had an ntlworld.com email"

virgin.net, blueyonder.co.uk , ntlworld.com and virginmedia.com email accounts all run on the same system and sadly people often report emails going missing from all those domains.

VM don't seem to keep backups so people rarely get their, missing emails reinstated.
