Maybe a year ago I noticed that some emails were arriving in the spam folder of my account. AFAIK, on the mailtool of all of my devices I have spam filtering set to off, and I've been pondering why some mail was being transferred to the spam folder. Could it be your webmail interface? Some genuine emails have been getting diverted to the spam folder, including invoices needing to be paid. Although it's a pain, it's still easier for me to click through the spam messages in my inbox than it is to remember to check the spam mailbox and click through all the messages there! Is your webmail interface filtering off spam, and if so, is there a way to turn this functionality off? Thanks!

I think I've just answered this myself - I've found a button under settings/email/spam settings - who knew! I've changes the setting and will monitor the spam!

IIRC misidentified emails can still appear in Spam folder despite settings indicating otherwise. If this occurs consider raising the issue in a new post so the forum team can requested the false positive be corrected.

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind, but my issue was at a more basic level. When debugging, I had totally forgotten that VM had a webmail interface that was potentially the source of my problem. The spam folder only started to fill up about a year ago, so likely the default setting on the webmail interface changed around that time. Seems to be all good now.
