blueyonder not accepting password

I have used Blueyonder in Thunderbird for many years without problems but now cannot connect to incoming mail server (pop3.virginmedia.com). Keeps asking for password which does not appear in saved passwords in Thunderbird. Tried several guesses but no success. Any suggestions please as this is my primary email address?

Thank in advance Cliff

What, if any, error message do you see when signing into the email address via VM webmail?

If you cannot remember the password use the forgotten password link on the sign in page.

Firstly:

Sending of password for user removed did not succeed. Mail server pop3.virginmedia.com responded: Authentication failed.

Then:

Login to server pop3.virginmedia.com with username removed failed.  (Retry - enter new password - cancel)
