As of yesterday evening, I been unable to access my email. I can access the account, just not email.  I can use my email and password to login into virginmedia.com - but I get the following error message when I attempt to view my emails online. I definitely did not change my password, so I am a little anxious that there may have been security breech, although I am somewhat reassured, as I can see other people have had the same issue.

Your mailbox is not available at the moment. Please retry again in one hour and make sure you are using the correct password to access your email from all of your devices. If the problem continues, please call our team for help on 150 from a Virgin Media phone or mobile, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone and select option 2. For details about how much it costs to call our team from a Virgin Media home phone, visit virginmedia.com/callcosts. Call costs from other networks and mobiles vary.

Thank you John. I seem to have been able to solve this on my own. After checking through some other forum member's messages and seeing how others had solved this: I requested a new password (by clicking on the link for forgotten passwords), and by changing it to a new one. it appears that this worked and updated the system centrally. Now I can gain access once more to my emails both on the virgin website and also using mac mail. What a relief! Thank goodness for this forum!
