Virginmedia email account suddenly not working

I’ve had a virginmedia email for years. It stopped receiving/sending emails today. It keeps saying ‘no password provided’ even though nothing was changed or deleted.

I’ve reset the password a few times as well as the VM advisers on the phone but still not working. I’ve tried to set up webmail on the vm site but it won’t recognise the details.

I really need to access my emails asap and customer service were no help - apparently they were technical dept but I was told all they can do is reset the password, something I can do myself…

Hi could someone at VM please help with my email issue - I’ve had no luck with VM on the phone and I really need access to my emails.

When you sign into My Virgin Media > My Profile is the non-working email address shown under the My Profile tab or the Manage accounts tab?

Webmail does not require “setting up”, going to https://mail2.virginmedia.com and entering your email address and password should be all that is required to view your emails. If this is not the case then what happens instead and what error message shown?

Do you have an active BroadBand account with Virgin Media ? (you must have one to keep your email address active, otherwise the address is liable for deletion...!)

Could someone from VM please get back to me - it’s been 2 days and I still can’t access my emails and ringing VM doesn’t seem to help.

Whilst waiting for the forum team to respond were you able to confirm if the inaccessible email account was listed under My Profile or Manage accounts? If it was not listed there see Orphan Email accounts post for further information.
