We're currently investigating an issues where some users are unable to access their Virgin Email email accounts via webmail. They are presented with an error message 'Error 606: we've encountered a problem', you will then be directed to call our team.
This has been raised under the ticket reference F007790614.
This seems to predominately affecting access over Google Chrome, so using an alternate web browser may help restore access in the interim. We have also been advised clearing the cookies may also help with this until a permanent fix is put in place.
If you are affected by this issue please try clearing the cache/cookies on the affected browser. If you are still experiencing the same issue after this, could you try resetting the email password to see if this resolves the issue.
Just got a brand new Vodafone phone. Tried to access my Virgin emails using Google Chrome yesterday and today, and am getting Error 606. Clearing cache/cookies makes no difference, but I can access them using the Firefox browser.
Is the Google Chrome/Error 606 problem any nearer being fixed? It’s just a bit annoying.
Help please Tom, I have clean the system with Ccleaner and Glary utilites 5 with no success. When I go to change my Virgin Media/Mail password I have to get to login mail and then click on forgotten password which then takes me straight to Error 606. Am I doing something wrong ??
