Until recently my VM Web Mail was in sync with my Outlook client. However for some reason Outlook now only shows emails received and sent for the last month or so, and none of my historic emails which are still held on the VM email.
Can anyone help me to sync things back up - and possibly explain what might have happened.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the advice, but can you provide a little more detail as to how to do that please

Hi @Farnaby
Welcome to our community forums and thank you for your first posts.
Sorry to hear you are having issues syncing your mailbox to your outlook. We want to do our best to help. Just to confirm, have you tried resetting your mailbox in Outlook as seen here Can you also let me know if you get this issue in the web version of outlook or the app version?
Thanks,

Thanks for reply and information regrading Outlook. I am using the Windows version of Outlook on my laptop.
In the information you sent I can't see what you mean by 'resetting your mailbox'. Can you point me to the relevant section please.

Good afternoon, @Farnaby
So for third party clients, you'd need to firstly sign in to your online Virgin Media account - virg.in/myVM
Then when signed in, go to account settings. Then go to Virgin Media mail settings.
Then click Generate App Password. This is the password you'd use to sign in to your email via a third party email client.
Best wishes.

Just to be clear I'm not looking to reset the password, I am trying to synch my VM mail with my Outlook mail. It was suggested that I reset the account - but it was not made clear how to do this. Basically my Outlook is only showing emails for the last few weeks, but all my old emails are still visible when I log on to the VM web mail.
I would like all those old emails to be accessible from Outlook - just as they used to be until a few days ago.
Thanks

Have you tried removing your mailbox from Outlook and then adding it again?

I found the answer inside Outlook.
In the Account settings under Account Name and Sync Settings there is a slider that manages how long you keep offline mail for.
For some reason this has changed in the last few days, but when I moved the slider to the far right (All) my old emails re-appeared in Outlook.
Thanks anyway
