Spam folder not syncing

One of my secondary accounts does not show the spam folder when I use it with an external app.

Whether on Android (Gmail) or Windows (outlook), the spam folder does not appear. It only appears when I login via a browser on the VM website.

All my other accounts using the same and different apps all show the spam folder.

Re: Spam folder not syncing

You need to log into web mail for that specific account and click on the hamburger icon - RHS top of the screen , then click settings, Email, and scroll down to "change IMAP subscriptions and tick the entry for spam folder.

Did the checked you performed correct the issue?

Re: Spam folder not syncing

You probably need to approach it from the other end. In your e-mail client you have to select the spam folder as available for syncing.

Re: Spam folder not syncing

The image in the link was basically just every box checked.

I couldn't actually unclick spam, it was greyed out (but checked(

The email clients (2 on different OS') don't do this with other accounts and I couldn't find an option to do so.

I've had to use a workaround that I hope will work.

I've used mailbox settings to still send spam to the inbox.

It's not ideal but the best solution I could find.

Re: Spam folder not syncing

I know you've got a workaround khunter83 but just in case, can you try removing the email account from the email client and re-adding it to see if the folder pops up?

Thanks,

Lisa
