I have several email accounts  under @ntlworld.com

So at the moment they are working OK both on the default Iphone mail app and in Thunderbird on my PC and while trying to resolve one that seemed to have become a problem I decided to check what all the settings should be and note that they are not as listed in the sticky post on this section.

I got my problem email account working again using the same settings as my other ntlworld emails, the problem was somehow it had become different (probably me so not looking to blame anyone!), however since all is working, should I change all my ntlworld settings to the information in the sticky post and why?

Hi Blagard,

Thanks for posting and sorry to hear you've had some issues with one of your email accounts recently. 

If you are using an email client then it may be beneficial for you to take a look at the advice here
