Hello,

I am having the E-mail issue despite I’m not a customer with virgin that I have continue using the Virginmedia E-mail addresses for many years. There I have encountered the fault yesterday despite I unable to send E-mail from the @virginmedia.com address despite blueyonder E-mail is still active, but I sent a test e-mail from blueyonder address to the @virginmedia.com address as it’s did not bounced back as it’s was correctly sent to my @virginmedia.com address. I’m sure there is a fault with the server despite cannot get new E-mail or won’t sent that settings & password is all correctly set up. Please could you check the server that I think it’s down for some reason despite its was working yesterday morning as it’s had stopped about noon yesterday. Can you please look into the fault on the server asap that I’ve have very important E-mail that I must get them downloaded straightaway.

Ok I’m was listening that they should have even automatically be unlocked after 15 minutes, but why it’s taken so long? I still going round in circle all this 5 weeks which it’s disgusting that I felt like reporting to the ico commissioner office because they should never have kept it locked as it too long which it’s should have been reset with 1 hour or 48hrs limit as now it’s gone over the limit.

Rights! This doesn’t add up at all that the e-mail I set up there has my name before the  @virginmedia.com address does belong to my that other customers has their own name or company name before the @virginmedia.com it’s linked to gmail forward account this mean the ownership before the @ sign on any isp e-mail.

 

since sky on the night I set up her e-mail, but the next day I checked her e-mail to my shock there was a first spam scam e-mail from the funeral director, but so I immediately shut sky e-mail account off because it’s was no good & we kept using virgin e-mail because it’s better that there been no scam e-mail until they moved back to virgin all the e-mail account had been transferred from the old account to the new virgin account that good. No e-mail is not lost after returning to virgin again as sky was rubbish because the sky box had caused the interference problem to my specialist bellman visit pager for alerting for the doorbell phone & smoke alarm which the sky box has created the signal to stopping the pager from picking the doorbell pager so we cut off sky contract off due of the interference with the deafblind alerting equipment. So we went back to virgin & the interference has stopped altogether that good. I don’t trust sky it’s poor for any deaf user using the bellman pager.

Thanks this still doesn’t add up at all that it’s should have been allowed to continue to use their e-mail address which carries my name before the @virginmedia.com it is outside the ownership of the domain name. I am still trying every day that your server should be responding to my e-mail that it’s had been locked & why cannot the manager had not even unlocked it since my request to do so?  There I had to make two payment to the subscription online account twice because one them I cannot get log in access due I cannot remember the password as I tried to get them reset as the e-mail has been sent to the smtp server as I cannot access it because your server is not responding to what it’s should be doing before the hacker attack took place on 27 October 2021 when they had to lock it that required users to have their password reset after the hackers attack. Why is the forgotten password is not working to what it’s should be doing allbtge time like any other web site online account despite the e-mail account it’s still active on the server which it’s said cannot find that e-mail address it’s not on their system, but does this be on the google linked account?

An email domain owner/administrator is determined by what comes after the @ symbol. What comes before it is only relevant when an email is being delivered. In your case it happens to be your name before the @, it may as well have been Im.Not.Listening @ virginmedia.com.

In any event, having your name before the @ symbol does not make you the owner of the email domain, just one of many users.

Virgin Media are unlikely to unlock an email address which is not linked to a current VM broadband account. The use of a Virgin Media email address requires an active VM broadband account. This has been noted many times before but is a fact you appear to be unable or unwilling to grasp.

Your account may appear to be active on the servers while awaiting full deletion, but as you no longer have an active account you will have no access to it.

The knock-on effects of losing your VM email access, such as being unable to change logons,subscriptions, account contact details etc. are irrelevant. That's down to a lack of account management on your part - you had 90 days to sort that out before your email account was closed.

I have the active 4 e-mail address since all is still come through to the desktop & iPad since I left VMware 2 years I still receive all the e-mail daily for over 2 years. One of my e-mail which it’s the main daily e-mail that I am STILL trying all sort to try to get in to access to my e-mail is a——-.m—-.w———@virginmedia.com which your server had said the error message it’s denied access to the pop3.virginmedia.com to forward to my gmail account that the error message I think there been a server is not recognising my usual username or password despite it’s all correctly set up as I think it’s the serve4 not accepting forward to my gmail that I donSTILL need to import entire e-mail into the gmail by forward it asap. 
has they still maintaining the server since 27th October despite the malware virus hacker attack took place? I’m registered deafblind that it’s against my Rights to keep my access my e-mail no matter how very difficult trying to some of my subscription paid web site login password that I have requested the other web site reset password e-mail which it is registered under my virginmedia address as I getting nowhere at all as it’s doesn’t add up at all I am so very extremely frustrating that it’s shouldn’t have their server locked it’s wrong & please unlock it asap or I will take my case to the ico office unless they immediately unlock it now. The reason your email account has been blocked on the VM servers is because you are no longer a Virgin Media broadband customer.

No account, no email service.

It really is that simple.

Right I contact google that you couldn’t even help me it is unfair & i will lodge a complaint to the ico because I still have the Right to get access again straightaway, but I cannot wait any longer than this could you just unlock the server now please within 24 hrs please.

It’s due to a malware virus attack in October that I can & other friends still send e-mail to my effected address that it’s still active on the serve4 it’s the full truth that why they locked it after the virus malware virus attack that they had to lock the server off for security reason because hackers has gained user password that it’s required user to have the login password reset to further secure.

There is blueyonder & two other still download into the computer as not my it’s locked & the others is remained unlocked that new e-mail still reach the computer. My head is still going round in circle that I will shall contact ico.
