Re: SMTP Sending error server cannot be contacted

This week all family virginmedia email acounts stopped working with same error.

Resolved by logging to virginmedia account and resetting the passwords to exactly what they were before the fault, and then everything worked fine.

I dont understand what happened but it appears the passwords retained by virginmedia had changed.

Re: SMTP Sending error server cannot be contacted

If the passwords have been changed, then do you really think resetting them to what they were BEFORE they were changed is such a good idea?

Answers on a postcard please?

Tim

Re: SMTP Sending error server cannot be contacted

It might be a good idea to read this and act on it - all of it, especially the bit about checking your forwarding settings in web mail, don't you think?
