Re: Accessing e-mail

On our wavelength

My Grandparent lost access to his blueyonder.co.uk email today, it appears the email on his VM account was changed. Someone is sending spam emails from it to his contacts. We've no means to get back into the account and don't know what to do. We can't get into My Virgin Media and can't reset the password. Help!

While you wait for a VM forum team reply (usually within a few days) check that your grandfather has not re-used that same email/password combo for other websites and services.

In past topics on here we often see scammers start to take over other sites and services when a VM email/password combo becomes known and has been reused in many places by the customer. Ideally all sites need to have a unique password and two factor authentication, where available.

Hi @starsky135

Welcome back to the community forums

Sorry to hear of the concerns with your grandparent's email.

Do you have power of attorney on your grandparent's account so we're able to help on their email issue?

Here to help 🙂
