Mailbox unavailable

Hi - first time posting but I really am at a loss and wondered if anyone can help me.

I’ve created a new email address (last week) but the mailbox is unavailable.  Have called Virgin Media and the only advice was to wait an hour and try again. I have waited and retried for some days now.  I have reset the password as I read that advice here.

I am not sure how to raise a ticket but have seen that mentioned here too.

I am really at a loss and would be so truly grateful for some help.

Sorry to hear you're having some issues, but how is your mail box looking currently? 

 

Does it let you sign in at all? Or does it stop you before signing in? 

 

Have you tried on different devices or different web browsers?

Lots of people are having the same issues on here, I personally have been waiting for two months without any resolution. It's a joke. Don't hold your breath.

I have tried different web browsers and devices.  It’s still unavailable.  I can sign in to the account but when I go to the email it says mailbox is unavailable and to wait an hour and try again.

Calling 150 gets me nowhere.  Judging from all the messages I’ve seen this is a widespread issue affecting many.  How do we find out if Virgin Media are aware?  The call handlers are certainly unaware as the same advice is given in rather a pressing manner, which is to wait an hour and try again.  That doesn’t work - each time I’m told they’ve reset and to wait - it doesn’t work.

Yep reading through it does seem to be a widespread problem.  Hope they can sort it soon.

@TheShawyers Whilst there are undoubtedly a lot of reports of similar issues VM have already checked there are no systemic technical issues causing them.  In every case they have looked at the problem has been account specific.

@Sasha_W will be able to check your account after clearing security checks with you via a private message exchange.
