Lost emails

Nearly 6 months of emails have gone from my inbox today.  Most went this morning and another batch this evening.  I can't find an email address to contact virgin andt he telphone help line 'ran a search for a fault' said they had found one and would sort it out.  No joy at all and it takes hours to get through to them.  any advice would be most welcome

VM’s Terms and Conditions have always said this -

Email use

6.5. It is your responsibility to back up the contents of your Virgin Media email account.”

The situation you have described usually turns out to be the result of either -

(a) the failure of a user to understand the interaction between the email system on the VM servers and user devices such as smartphones and tablets using the IMAP protocol, or,

(b) the seemingly inexplicable behaviour of certain Apple products (iPhone etc) deleting the user inbox contents. Apple claims this to be “user error” whilst there are many disgruntled users worlwide who dispute this.

Put “Lost emails” (and iPhone if relevant) into the search bar at the top of this page and you will find other examples of this.
