I cannot send/receive emails as I am asked to enter my IMAP password which then rejects it or asks for a new one...
You may have to refresh the password on the server. Go into My VM: https://my.virginmedia.com/home/index and sign in with the account in question. Change the password to what it is currently to refresh the password. The issue can be that password drift occurs, with some part of VM(s network forgetting what your password is and that refreshing of the password to what it is already resyncs it across the VM network. Shelke, many thanks for your reply...I changed the password as I have been receiving some very dodgy emails of late. Do you recommend changing/updating my email settings as my email ends in blueyonder... Amities Fleur
The new settings are advised at the moment but in due course VM will switch of the old settings which will stop your e-mail working. You might as well make the change now.
Changing passwords does not stop spam. Tell us briefly what is happening and we shall advise further
