I use Virgin Media Ireland for broadband. smtp.upcmail.ie is the outgoing server for my emails. For the past few weeks, all emails which I send to gmail users are returned with the following message:
SMTP error from remote mail server after pipelined end of data:

550-5.7.26 pass authentication checks. To best protect our users from spam, the

It seems that Virgin Media's outgoing SMTP server is doing something that Gmail doesn't like.
Does anyone know why this is happening now, or how it can be fixed?

Sadly this forum only deals with Virgin Media UK, so www.virginmedia,com, issues.
Virgin Media Ireland, www.virginmedia.ie is a completely separate company.
You really need to go to the Virgin Media Ireland support, see here https://www.virginmedia.ie/customer-support/ The telephone number for Irish customers would appear to be1908. There does not appear to be a similar forum to this one for Irish customers.
Just to show you the difference, the email servers for VM UK customers are smtp.virginmedia.com and imap.virginmedia.com but clearly they will not work for Irish VM email accounts.
