Emails from domain name sent to Microsoft rejected

The email forwarder on my domain is getting the following error

SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection: 550 mx1.mnd.ukmail.iss.as9143.net mx1.mnd.ukmail.iss.as9143.net logid=SMTPRC 550 MXIN103 Your IP 188.65.115.149 is in RBL. Please see http://csi.cloudmark.com/reset-request/?ip=18

Is this an issue with the Virginmedia end?

Re: Emails from domain name sent to Microsoft rejected

Well the titles a little confusing  as this mail doesn't appear to be being sent to Microsoft.  It's being sent to Virgin Media's mail exchangers.

I'm going to ask @Jen_A to take a look as this looks to be that the forwarding server is blacklisted.  However - when I check here

188.65.115.149

The server doesn't appear to be on any blacklists.

Tim

BTW is there an id number - e.g. id=SZBygRHU39rMSSZByg5ZeM - if so can you post it.  While it looks nonsense it's a unique identifier for the mail transaction in question, which helps Virgin Media to ensure that they are looking at the right log entry.

Re: Forwarded emails from domain host rejected by Virgin email

Sit tight

One of the Forum Team will get to this but it could take them up to 7 days to do so.

@Jen_A  When you've got time can you look at this?

Tim

Re: Emails from domain name sent to Microsoft rejected

Hi webbm00,

How interesting. I've checked that IP and Cloudmark identifies it as having a poor reputation. You can submit a reputation remediation request yourself via the link in your post, if you wish, and I am querying this with CM myself. I shall update on here when I have some information to impart.

Regards,

Re: Emails from domain name sent to Microsoft rejected

I have already put in a reputation remediation request but it's interesting that it only effects Virgin. I assume that gmail uses a different company

Re: Emails from domain name sent to Microsoft rejected

Hi webbm00,

Cloudmark advise that that IP address (UKWEBHOSTING-PA1) has been sending bank phishing emails recently. The system owner will need to secure their systems before CM can look to reset. You'll need to refer to your forwarding host.
