I have been accessing my ntlworld account until yesterday however it was not sending emails with attachments so attempted to reconfigure. Anyway I deleted the account so can no longer access it. Is there anyway I can set it up again. I no longer have virgin media account

Unfortunately virgin emails are for Virgin customers and they will not assist non customers

Sorry to hear of the initial email issues and that you have deleted the account, thanks for raising this via the forums and welcome to the community.

 

As dannylau has eluded to, once you leave Virgin Media (account closed and services disconnected) within 90 days the email address will also be closed. Once the email address is deleted we're unable to get this back I'm afraid.
