Email on ios devices

I have an iphone 7 and an ipad. They both stopped sending emails- they get stuck in the outbox and it says my password is incorrect but no settings have changed. I can receive emails fine. 

I have tried deleting and reinstalling the email account but it won’t verify the account- it ‘cannot connect to SSL’. The settings are what virgin media recommend as far as I can see. 

Has anyone else had this issue? What are the recommended settings? I have an ntlworld email address which is now virgin media.

There does seem to be problems with iDevices & Virginmedia.
My settings are:

imap.virginmedia.com
SSL on/ticked
Port 993
smtp.virginmedia.com
SSL on/ticked
Port 465
Username is your full email address.

When the issue next happens consider trying the following troubleshooting steps on the device:

Should you only be listed in the PBL then can you confirm you are able to sign into webmail?
