Hi,

Posting for my father in law.

His email address xxxxx@virgin.net (full address can be provided if needed) has become unavailable in the last 24 hours.

The message returned now is shown below.

The telephone support has no options for this. What can he do about this?

Thanks

C

Provided that the email account concerned is attached to your current VM broadband account then you will probably be able to regain access to the email addresses by changing the passwords.

Sign in to My Virgin Media, go to My Profile and/or Manage Accounts depending on whether the account concerned is your primary account or an additional one. Select the account concerned and then click on Change to the right of password if a primary account or View/Change then change to the right of password for secondary accounts.

If that hasn't unlocked your email address after at least 30 minutes then post back and the VM Forum Team staff should be able to help you when they reach this thread.

By the way the correct option to select from the phone menu is 'broadband faults'.

However, this Forum is a better option than the phone support line.

Hi,

No this email is not attached to my account, and he is no longer a broadband user.

I am a broadband/tv/telephone account holder.

Can the email be attached to my account in order to recover the address?

Thanks

Craig

Sorry, I should have said provided it is attached to his VM broadband account he can change the password.

If he doesn't have a VM broadband account then it will be very difficult to resolve this.  You are best waiting for the VM Forum Team staff to respond.

Be aware that they will need to clear account security with your father in law.
