I have just started getting messages that I need to enter my credentials for my email account on Gmail but it does not accept my password. I have logged onto Virgin Media online with no problems. Is there currently an issue with Virgin Email that will be resolved or do I need to do something more to regain access ?

Yes thanks. I eventually got through to the help desk and they advised me to reset my password as the account had been locked because of large quantities of spam emails being sent out in my name that I couldn't see. That is fine and it worked but it would have been useful if I had been sent some sort of notifications when they locked the account so that I knew that I had an issue and what to do about it. I did eventually receive an email some six hours later but that went to my Spam box anyway.
