Re: Email attachment

Hi Beashley36,

Sorry about this, I shall do my best to help 🙂

A few questions first:

  • What attachment types are you failing to download (pdf, MSWord, jpeg etc)?
  • What is the exact error message that is returned (a screenshot would be really useful but edit out any personal information first)?
  • Are the above issues all via webmail?
  • Which email folder are you unable to access?

Thanks,

Jen

Re: Email attachment

I get the email message but not the attachment, .jpg .MP4 etc. When I try to download I get the message ' connection error' if I go into webmail, email I just get moving dots but never opens email.

I'm using K9 mail, after changing some of the settings I'm managing to get most mail's and attachments.

I've just changed network to GifGaf but my mail is still via Virgin.

What the exact settings are for downloading mail I downloading mail I don't know.

Many thanks Brian Ashley

Re: Email attachment

Thanks for getting back to me 🙂

Webmail is working for me, albeit a little slower than usual. Please try it on a different browser and/or device to see if that works - I'd like to know if the attachments download OK via webmail.

Do you no longer have an active VM account?

Re: Email attachment

Yes I still have an active VM email account, had it for donkeys years.

Of late it's been behaving itself then it stops downloading attachments. If left alone the following day it will download without any action on my part, from this I interpret that the problem is at the VM end and my settings are seemingly OK

Re: Email attachment

They didn't mean email account, do you have have an active broadband account, you must have a broadband account for your email account to remain active
