Diect debit set up confirmation

I have just been sent a email confirming my direct debit  has been set up! I'm confused because I'm on the free trial and I've not been offered a price plan

They will have set up a direct debit in order to check that your bank details are correct and that you are able to pay when the free trial finishes.

Have you checked with your bank whether any money has been taken yet? VM take payment in advance, so if you cancel after the trial it should be returned.
