Deleting secondary email address

I have a secondary email address within my account that I created just to be used for a specific group of people.  I cannot delete it despite it not being used by me to send or view anything since I spoke to a customer retention officer on 6th January 2019 who assured me that it could be deleted after 90 days of non-use.  It is now 23rd April and therefore it has quite clearly been out of use for in excess of 90 days.  I know the procedure for deleting secondary accounts and have used this successfully in the past but this one will not delete.

Please, please help me to delete this account as it will appear to people who to try to contact me that I can't be bothered to reply to them.  

I noted from my previous conversations (over a long time spent on the phone being passed from one person to another) that if I leave Virgin Media then it will disappear.

What happens when you try to delete the secondary account?
