Consistent 120 second delay when sending email via Virgin Media mail relay

Hi!

I selfhost an email server with my own domain and use the smtp.virginmedia.com:587 mail relay to send emails (otherwise mail gets denied by spam filters on most mail servers due to my residential IP being in a dynamic block, so I have to use a relay). I created a Virgin Media Mail acccount and used the credentials for this to authenticate to the relay. This all works fine, however whenver I send mail from my mailserver, there is always a huge delay. I looked at the headers of several emails sent via my server and the VM mail relay and they all have consistent delay of exactly 120 seconds each time!

Example:

Is there anything I can do about this? It seems pretty odd that this delay is such an exact ammount each time and I'm wondering if this is being held unententionally by the virgin media mail relay for some reason?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi @lriley06

Thank you for your response

Unfortunately with the delay there isn't anything we can do after speaking to the team as two minutes is normal when sending from our email.
