Cannot send mail

Hi

Keep getting an error message when sending emails. 
The message is

The connection to the outgoing server smtp.Virginmedia.com failed

I have checked the settings are correct but was able to send mails yesterday 

No outage recorded in service status

I am sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your email address, do these issues occur whoever you send the email too?
