Can you block a domain?

I am receiving an increasing number of spam 'dating' e-mails all from the domain o2.pl Is there any way to  block a whole domain, preferably preventing them getting through the ntlworld.com email server rather than appearing in the inbox or moved to spam?

Re: Can you block a domain?

Go to the Help page

Change the condition for From to "Contains" from "Is exactly" and paste in o2.pl
you may have to use *.o2.pl if the above does not work

Set an Action such as File Into (select spam)

Click on save and any further messages from the domain should automatically and up in your spam folder.

You can't learn anything from a mistake until you admit that you've made it.

Create a webmail filter rule similar to the following:

AFAIK an Is Exactly condition of:

  • o2.pl will only ever match the text o2.pl
  • *.o2.pl will only ever match the text *.o2.pl

For wildcard characters (like *) use the Matches conditions instead

Thankyou for the replies. I found it easy to follow the instructions and it appears to have worked. It would be nice to actually stop the emails at source but guess that is a forlorn hope as it seems to be a Polish ISP.
