Can’t send/receive email on wifi

Hi,

I’m having a very frustrating email issue where I can’t send or receive virgin emails through my WiFi router

i can send those emails using mobile data and I can send iCloud emails on WiFi. The message I get is my username and or password is incorrect. I can logon to virgin mail through my browser no problem and that sends and receives just fine.

I’ve deleted my email accounts and re added them with the same issue. This is a problem on both my iPhone, iPad and Microsoft surface. Same issue on Outlook and iOS Mail.

i can also send and receive emails at work using WiFi with no issues.

Any thoughts?

Check out the advice in this thread for a route to identify the cause:

Okay I did what you suggested here is what I learnt:

curl: (6) could not resolve host: v

curl: (67) Login denied

Your email server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings

Is your curl command missing the minus before the v, i.e. -v?

There should be a before the v (i.e. -v) to enable the verbose output required to show error codes like VM320

< 535 5.7.8 Authentication Credentials Invalid (VM300)

Usually for a VM300 error the advice would be to check you password is correct but given you posted the curl output unredacted, thus revealing your email address and password, I would suggest:

I have already changed it to a password that I’ve never used before and still I’m having the same issue. Virgin media have agreed to change my router but I’m not sure that’s the answer. Personally I think it’s more likely ab issue with the email exchange
