when trying to reply to an email I get a spinning wheel, been doing this for a month or so now.
I can create a fresh email with the compose button, but when replying to an existing email I get the wheel of doom

Does the issue occur when using your browser's Incognito / Private mode? No, then clearing data cached by Virgin Media from browser should resolve issue.
