I am getting sick and tired of this feature. It's making my life difficult. I get fed up of clicking on step that are not stairs, mountain that are not hills, cross walks we don't have them in the UK only Ped Xings. Traffic signals and the posts, cars and then stupid fire hydrants which we don't have either. Americanisms gone mad,. Get rid of it VM or I'm off!
Rant over.

Are you using a shared computer? If not why are you continually signing in and out? You can change the webmail settings so that you only need to sign in once a week.
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media, I'm a VM customer. There are no guarantees that my advice will work. Please read the FAQs

I had an issue today when web mail was locked out. That happened at about 1400 hours Friday last. I contacted CS this morning who told me they had sent me an email yesterday about a possible security issue with blueyonder platforms and looking at it it was sent AFTER they locked me out. I wonder if it occurred to anyone sending me an alert AFTER locking me out I would not get it!
After changing my VM account password on all platforms I’m now back in. As you mention the dreaded and useless CAPTCHA I have been plagued with it today each and every time I log in on different devices, I’m hoping it will sometime realise it is me as I’m sick and tired of looking at Americanisms ‘cross walks’ (we call them ped x ings here VM) ! Hills Mountains Traffic Signals busses taxi cabs fire hydrants cycles and so on. Yes I’ve had enough too. I thought it had gone but it’s back with vengeance.

Hi Graham.
For your information no, I am not using a shared computer, but a laptop and for Security Reasons I need to sign in or out as & when I see fit. Regardless of that fact it should still not be necessary to be continually having to do silly childish puzzles before you can access your account or E-Mail or any other aspect of your account.
Having said that today, quite strangely no Captchas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We can but wait for tomorrows exciting instalment, will there be or not reappearance of the dreaded Captcha or has it been frightened off by the dreaded Halloween Bogey Man.
Regards. Scorpioking.

Not wishing to prolong this discussion, but if security of the email account is your main concern then surely the additional security level of the re captcha challenge should be welcomed.

After a few more attempts to annoy me it’s gone again. Never to return I hope.

Hi both,
Thanks for your patience and we understand the frustrations caused by having to repeat captcha.
As mentioned previous by a colleague - it is there to help increase security so does serve a purpose however we will pass on your feedback to the relevant teams.
Take care,

Argggh you put the mockers on me - it’s back - twice - you may need, but I don’t need any, extra layer(s) if security thanks. There is a way to resolve this - by leaving VM! Other ISP don’t impose such on their customers !

Hi Kath.
Thanks for your reply but unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem. If you can get round the Captcha by just mumbling any old rubbish on the audio challenge it is a frustration not a useful Security Feature so it's just a case of Put Up With It I suppose.
Thanks Anyway.
