Blueyonder email

I realise there is a thread on this issue but I really do need to get an old blueyonder email address deleted as it seems to be being abused by somebody for some reason.  Cannot explain how or why.

I believe  from reading previous emails it can be done.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Re: Blueyonder email

Same advice as here:

https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Need-to-delete-old-virgin-net-email-account/td-p/3899698

You did right to start your own thread. You get it properly noticed that way!

Re: Blueyonder email

So can I assume that someone might contact me about deleting this account, particulalrly as it is being compromised.

If this is the case, the reply was very helpful

Yes, the Virgin Media forum staff will contact you via this forum.  However, given the Christmas break, I think you may not get a response before 2 Jan 2019 at the earliest.

In addition to Graham's comments - can I suggest you use the Forgotten password link on the login screen to change the password and effectively lock the scammers out in the meantime?

Re: Blueyonder email

I wish things were that easy.  When I try to sign in, it doesnt recognise the email address and or the password.  And I know that both are definitely correct..  And if you try to recover any details at sigh in, it starts to ask for info about account reference, etc which I can provide but this did not work.  In th emean time, spamming goes on....................

I even spoke to someone on the Virgin Technical team who could not do anything. (poor support)

Re: Blueyonder email

Hi Johnboy51,

Sorry for the added delay to Xmas - I've been off for 10 glorious days Smiley Happy

Anyhow, I'll be happy to assist with this but shall need to identify the offending email address and clear security. Please reply to my PM (purple envelope, top right) so I can get started.

Regards,

Jen

Re: Blueyonder email

Very top right of this screen. It'll have a "1" on display.
