Have the inbox emails disappeared on webmail or client mail or both?

I have had the same email address ( a blueyonder address now owned by Virgin media) since the internet began. I just went to look for some old mails on the VM website and it looks like all my emails before 2016 have been wiped from the server. Been sent round and round in circles and finally to someone who wanted to charge me a premium rate to*help* me, then put down the phone on me when I said what I thought of that. I am spitting blood right now !!! anyone else had this problem. VM sent me round an endless round of people, the last one of whome told me i would have to join a premium rate service to get some *help* then when i got angry, hung up on me !! Can anyone advise ?

I started this thread and i feel your pain. They wont help as they dunno why it happens. Useless.

Did you speak with the technical team concerning this? If so what was advised? 

 

The team you spoken with concerning the charge sound like our Gadget rescue service.
