not always they don't.
it's not uncommon for sky to accept your cancellation and call your bluff.

with any company there's a certain point where you have to cut someone free.
every new customer gets a good deal to join, you should assume that's the only deal you'll ever get and after that you pay the "list price".
if that isn't going to work for you then simply don't become a new customer.

every customer that tries to milk a better deal every year ends up causing the annual price increases across the board.

The blame goes on both sides, Virgin are the ones that ok it and hand the discounts out.

indeed, but when they don't and say nothing they can offer you then get complaints about how there is no loyalty.

who's to blame, the person asking or the person giving?
society is to blame for breeding freeloaders and those that stomp until they get their own way.

Re: Virgin don't offer best prices to current customers

They way I see it, there is nothing wrong phoning up every 12 or 18 months and requesting a few quid off standard price in exchange for signing for another 12 months contract.

The ones who want more, usually end up cancelling and then wait for outbound to  ring and offer the new customer price - for that, only Virgin can be blamed and ends up encouraging more to try it.

No, I like paying over the top to cover their big discounts 😂

If they do not want to pay - let them walk 😉

'who's to blame, the person asking or the person giving?'

both. i said the other day there is no 'loyalty' on either side. both customer and company are out to get what is best for themselves.

indeed, but you never get a company complaing about a customer showing no loyalty, but you always get "customers" complaining about companies showing no loyalty. as i said, society has bred a certain type of person to want everything for nothing and the sense of entitlement they have is sky high.
