I'm currently out of contract and about to start looking around.  Not Sky, but maybe broadband only, and stick with Freeview for a while. 

Has anyone tried to renegotiate a new VM contract recently? If so, how did it go?

I call Retentions at the end of my contract, say that I'm paying too much and I always end up with a better deal - sometimes a bit less, sometimes quite a bit less. These days it seems as if it's an 18-month contract.
