Careers

Hi.
Ive just gave my notice in to army after a 13 year career. Which means I am now looking for a new career.
I really like the sound of working for virgin media.
My questions are. What qualifactions would help me in getting into virgin media. (I have 12 months and funding to do it).
And how likely am I to work locally (wirral/mersyside/chester)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.

Gary.

Re: Careers

I actually think being a tech would be a fairly good job. Okay you would have the hassle when a customer needs a re-pull or whatever, but round our way its been a fairly static pool of techs for a long time now. So it must be okayish.

Turn up, crimp a few F-connectors, plumb in a TiVo, go home. Better than getting shot at for a living....

Re: Careers

You didn't really say what area you would like to work in eg tech support, customer services, etc etc.. if wanting to go full tech would be looking at getting ccna Cisco, understanding of docsis/cmts
