I have cleared my browsers cache, tried to log in to my e mail account on Virginmedia but still getting "Forbidden" error.
I am still able to log into Virginmedia to view my account - just not my e mail account.

If you're still having trouble then maybe this will help........
I had the same problem with my account, where I was still using my ntlworld email address to login to my VM account. I managed to fix the issue today, much helped by the detailed instructions left by @coenoby on another thread.
I followed their instructions to update my user name from my ntlworld email address to my gmail address. I also changed my VM account password. The changes were accepted, but I still had no webmail access to my primary ntlworld email address, getting the dreaded "Forbidden" message.
In desperation I then went back into the Manage Email Settings dialog on the VM website and clicked the "Generate App Password" button. This provided me with an App password in word-word-word-word format. After doing this I was able to access webmail for my primary ntlworld email address successfully.
So it seems to me that having changed your VM account login details you MUST also generate an App Password to unlock webmail access to the primary email account.
Bear in mind that if you are also using external mail apps (Email on your Mac, Outlook, Thunderbird, Mail etc) then now your account password in each of the apps will need to be updated to use the word-word-word-word password.
The word-word-word-word password seems irrelevant to webmail access to the primary email address. Primary email webmail access simply relies on your latest VM account user name and password, but only once you have generated an App password after changing the VM account login details.

Is it only on the one browser?
Did the above information help at all?
