Changing Primary User

Is it possible to change the primary user on a blueyonder account?

I'm listed as primary user but no longer use blueyonder and have moved out of the premises where I previously used it. Somebody else was listed as a secondary user and wants to retain their blueyonder email address and so needs to be listed as primary user. Any Ideas?

In Virginmedia's world the broadband account (as opposed to the bank account) will still be in Jack's name and the emails will always be attached to that account until it is closed.

I believe there are special arrangements if the account holder dies.

It isn't possible to transfer ownership of a VM account to another person.  Is the VM broadband account still active at the premises you have moved out of?  If the account has been closed then the associated email addresses should be closed by VM 90 days after account closure.

      Hi WhatsgoingonDad

      Welcome to the Community Forums.

So as Graham_A has advised, you cannot change the primary user for the online account.

If you've moved out of the address and you're registered as the account holder, you'll need to get in touch with us to advise us of your home move. Anyone still living at the address can then apply for their own account and service and create their own online account.

Please bear in mind, if you're the named account holder of this account, the service contract is ultimately your responsibility, regardless of any personal agreement you may have for who pays the bills. Therefore, if you've moved out of the address, please do let us know of your home move and the dedicated team can assist further here

        Hi,

thanks for the reply.  It doesn't quite answer my problem, mainly because I didn't explain it properly. I'll try again.

Imagine Jack & Jill get broadband from Telewest and end up with blueyonder email addresses, jack@blueyonder.co.uk and jill@blueyonder.co.uk. Jack set up the account with Telewest so is the principal account holder. The direct debit to pay Telewest is from a joint account setup to pay household bills. Jack moves out and no longer needs his blueyonder email address but Jill does and the payments carry on from the account although Jack removes his name from the joint account. Virgin now take  over but the account still continues and Jill can still get her email. How can this account with Virgin be managed since Jack has probably lost his unused email account not having used it for over 10 years? Jill needs to be able to manage it and she doesn't want to lose her emails and wants to keep her email address.

Can you help Jill to look after the account and keep her email account. Jack is being cooperative but what happens if he dies, how will the Virgin account be managed?
