Has anyone had experience in taking VM to court? After being over charged for months and a huge price rise when my contract ended I’ve been trying to cancel but unbelievably they are simply refusing....

You would use the ombudsman service before going to court.

The ombudsman is free to you but costs VM.
IIRC VM refuses cancellations if VM thinks your account is in debit.
