"random Wi-Fi" drop-outs" are frequently caused by having...
1) VM Smart Wi-Fi / Wireless Channel Optimisation enabled
2) Auto Channel selection enabled on the 2.4 & 5GHz bands
These can all be disabled in the Hub and in the devolo Wireless Access point.
For the 2.4GHz band only use channels 1 or 6 or 11
E.g. Channel 1 on the VM Hub and 6 or 11 on the devolo Wireless Access point.
