Slow WiFi upstairs

Hi there  I’m not getting a great signal upstairs in the master bedroom. I think I need a booster. I do have two BT black booster discs from before I joined Virgin a couple of weeks ago but I can’t ...

No clue about mesh systems but I’ll have a Google now and learn. I was hoping, very much that we’d just get a great signal with the Hub 5 and that boosters and other equipment wouldn’t be necessary. 

I’ll have another try for a free booster and then failing that, think about investing in some new bits. If I go back to BT - will the same mesh system work?

Yes, a decent Mesh System should work with BT.  But if you keep your BT discs they can be setup again for BT.  On that point, I had thought those discs worked with the VM Hubs if used as Access Points?  No point in spending money if you can get the discs to work.

    Thanks for replying. I did give the BT discs a go, but apparently the black ones don’t work with the Hub 5.

    I had tried all the tips like factory resetting them and connecting via an ethernet but they were having none of it 

    Ill stash them in a cupboard just in case I go back to BT
