I've measured the length of current broadband cable that connects from the wall to the Hub 3 router and its 5.1 metres. This was installed by the Engineer when i had broadband and phone services installed/configured back in November 2022.
Why does the customer have to fork out the fee? This is out of my control. Everyone's rooms are configured differently and every customers room is of different size therefore not equal so I shouldn't have to pay a fee. That's absurd.
Anyway I've come across another post that here that states they (Virgin) can offer cable up to 15 metres in length. In that post Virgin state they won't charge for this.
So I will wait for a Virgin Rep to respond to my original message.
Hmm, a very confusing thread indeed. I surmise VM are talking about a 15 meter Ethernet cable as the Mods are contradicting each other. A co-ax cable that long may have an impact on the Hub signal, hence the tech visit.

Just an update I've been in touch with Live Chat and they've ordered me a 10M cable and 15M cable free of charge.
Regarding the impact on hub signal I will have to see how it goes. I did explain to the agent on the Live Chat that the broadband cable that came with the TV 360 Box is short and doesn't reach the Hub 3 router.

Please come back and report on what you receive. As noted, the thread is very confusing especially as one Mod was contradicting the other one. 🙂
Cheers !
