For the Mesh to work on 1st setup you must not have anything connected to it like a PC because it might get the WAN IP with these mesh so when in modem mode power off hub for 2mins to clear last used MAC with the mesh powered on then turn on the hub wait 5mins unplug replug Ethernet to be sure it alone get the WAN IP then connect your devices.
