I was sent a new box to replace my old tivo box , the virgin representative specifically told me i could use my current isp with the 360 box , upon setuo i am stuck, i get the message "wrong network" your connected to the wrong network recconect to your virgin media wifi network , it wont let me get past this screen
Any advice?
I cancelled Virgin Media internet five years ago and switched to Sky, keeping Virgin Media only for TV and my business phone line. I recently contacted Virgin Media to see if they could reduce my bill. They offered me a new box to replace my outdated TiVo, and I double- and triple-checked with the representative that it would still work with Sky as my internet provider.
I’ve decided to return the new box and keep my old TiVo, as I don’t want extra wires or routers in the house,
Also i did not sign a new contract , it states in the email that "you will not need to sign a new contract"

Maybe I’m reading this all wrong, but I get the feeling the OP has an old TiVo and they are now using Sky as the ISP? If that’s the case, why was a 360 sent out? Of course I could be barking up the wrong tree …
The OP has used a Sky internet connexion for five years - something that was possible using the original TIVO box. That ISP hasn't changed, what has is the type of Virgin Media TV box. The 360 needs Virgin Media as an ISP. It sounds as if a solution has been found.

I would have expected you to also receive a VM hub along with the TV 360 set top box because looking at the screenshot (picture copied below) that you included in your <Previous thread> VM are providing you with a free broadband connection (Free TV Data Connection) that provides an exclusive standalone connection to the TV service and thus won't be used for other internet services (you continue using your Sky broadband for your other internet connections)
A TiVo-only user can only have a 360 upgrade if a broadband contract is taken out as well - which means a new contract. The ordering system should never allow only a 360 to be sent out in such a case. And the rep was either clueless or lying.
Who is your current ISP? Why was the TiVo not returned to VM if you are now with Sky?

The 360 [as well as the Stream and the V6 box] are restricted to use with Virgin Media's broadband. The original TIVO was the last box where this wasn't necessary.
Good that you have a copy of what you were told. On the assumption that it is an issue for you I would raise a complaint. With any luck they will do a deal with you for a cheap package.

...and this is because the legacy TiVo had its own inbuilt broadband connection, thus it was using VM's in-house connection.
Subsequent boxes rely on this connection being via your home broadband. Well done having the screenshot of the VM staff giving incorrect advice.
As an aside, TiVo/V6 & TV360/Stream are both different TV platforms. You either have all-one or all-the-other, you can't mix & match.
