For others that might be having the same problem, an engineer was scheduled to come out. After receiving the text message confirming the date and time, I re-checked my landline and it was working again , handsets are ringing. So no visits was required I cancelled the appointment.

Thanks to Frankgibb for PMing with me 📩 - As they mentioned, the fault appears to be resolved so they cancelled the appointment as it was no longer needed. Hopefully there are no further issues but please do get back in touch here if there are.
