Can’t stream Formula 1 recordings via Virgin TV Go App

For some reason I am unable to stream any Sky Sports Formula 1 recordings from my TiVo box to the TV Go app on my iPhone. I am at home on WiFi at the time (no VPN). I get the error messages below. EV...

HI Dazzag80,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community ands welcome back, apologies that you have been unable to stream Formula 1 Via TV go, this sounds like it is a Copyright issue from Sky, is this something you have been able to do previously?

Hi Paul no I don’t think this is ever worked but the frustrating thing is the error message that I am getting from the app is suggesting there is a technical problem my end rather than this being a copyright issue at the Virgin Media end - it is very confusing for the customer

    Thanks for getting back to us. Can we ask if the F1 recordings are okay to view directly on your TiVo box? 

    Would you also be able to test with another Sky Sports channel that is showing a live event?

      Yes, no problem at all watching the recordings directly on my TV. Issue is just when streaming from the App.

        Thanks for the confirmation, this does appear to be a licensing/copyright issue. Some live content and recordings aren't available via the TV Go app at the content providers request.
