Most PC / Laptop NICs allow EEE to be disabled in the Device Manager for compatibility with the Hub 5 2.5Gb/s port.
3rd party Routers may also allow EEE to be disabled in the WAN port & then the Hub 5 2.5Gb/s port should work.
Only Managed Network Switches offer the ability to disable EEE.

Hi
Ye this issue was driving me around the bend, I was wondering if it was the router and then netgear support couldn't help. Glad to know it's this issue that could be causing the problem. Surely their must be a update soon to fix this but it has been since last year
