Virgin media not available at my house, but Neighbour has it and so do other houses on my street.

Hi - after entering my postcode for eligibility for full fibre broadband, I can see my next door neighbour's address appear and other house numbers on my road, but not my own.

After calling VM I have been told that an engineer will visit our house to install a new connection, our house is roughly 10 years old so relatively new. However I've been given no idea of timescales, "only that it could be soon or may take a while". 

Please could someone advise as to when we could get an engineer to wire in the connection. As above it is on our road, and our neighbour is just meters away. But I'm just getting wooly answers about when which does not help given how critical a fast Internet connection is for my family.

    OK. You will need to speak to Sales and ask them to send a Spotter to check if a connection can be done.  They won't accept an order until that has been done.

      Hi - just called them, they said the house has not been cabled yet. And all they can do is register my interest and that will add me to a list for an engineer to visit. But they can't say when.

      Not getting anywhere it seems

    Have you actually placed an order with VM?  They won't do anything until you have.

      I've tried to online, address doesn't appear. So I call to and then after they take the house number, they say they can't see my house number on the system. And an engineer will have to visit.
