New build - White ducting in house?

Howdy,

Just signed up to VM (again) as the fibre (xgs pon) service is now available in our new build estate.

we have the usual green ductwork outside the house with a VM Brown Box mounted outside. Inside the box is a thin white tube which goes inside the house and comes out under the stairs.

Does anyone know if they are able to push the fibre line through this white ducting so the cable is hidden and comes out under the stairs?

It appears to have been intentionally installed by the developer, but not seen this done before.

no internal faceplate just a brushed faceplate with this white ducting coiled up inside the house.

Thanks!

Correct, got sockets and Ethernet ports under the stairs to other rooms in the house.

I think from reading online VM should be able to blow the fibre from outside via the white ducting to the position under the stairs….fingers crossed!

        Hello Cameron121

Thanks for posting in regards to your recent order and installation, we appreciate you raising this via the forums.

Usually the XGS service is provided via a telegraph pole and overhead wiring, when you spoke to the team did they advise this? We'd recommend speaking to the Pre Install team on 0800 052 1734 for more information.
