Self install kits are supplied to be sent out when the property is marked as a previous VM user. However some properties only have a loose cable in the house, not a wall socket. Also some properties have had the VM cables removed without informing VM.
Hopefully there will be something for you to connect to.

Hi Adduxi, we will both be working remotely Monday to Friday office hours. What would you suggest as a back up option? I’ve never heard of people having back up WiFi!

Could be as simple as a phone hotspot or a 4/5G SIM based router. The best but expensive is another FTTC or FTTP line.

@Laldersharvey. I can assure you that many people working from home do invest in a backup connection, and I would strongly suggest you do the same.
If your VM broadband fails for any reason you will not get a priority repair because you work from home. The only contractual liability is that you will get some compensation after the first two full days of a total less of service. The actual time for repair can be very variable depending on the nature of the fault.

If it’s that important to have an Internet service, pop along to Currys and purchase a Starlink Mini, as long as your not in or close to the London area, you will be online in a few minutes. When your VM is sorted out,
pause the service (no long contracts with Starlink) and put it in a cupboard till you need again.

That sounds ideal, will look into it now! Thanks!
