Hi Splangif 👋.
Thanks for your post. Apologies you are facing these issues. Can we ask have you recently changed your package where you may have taken out something called a Volt bundle?
Please let us know.

Hi,
The issue was in the morning someone called Nikki decided to put me on a contract, set up a DD, email my contract to a stranger and do a credit check and order me an O2 sim without my consent. I am awaiting a call back from a manager but they haven't bothered as this should have happened yesterday at the latest...

Hey Splangif,
Thanks for coming back to us, I would like to have a look into this for you, in order to do so I will need to confirm some quick information from you in a private message, if you have not used this feature before you can access it via the envelope at the top of your screen.

The same thing has happened to me.
I changed my Virgin Media package to Ultimate Volt in April 2023 and my contract specifically says a SIM is not included (see screenshot below). I never agreed to a contract with O2 and have just realised they've been charging me £5 per month since April 2023 (which is why I think it's related to my Virgin package) and £5.44 since March 2024. A total of £87.20 without my consent. I should perhaps have realised earlier but I'm 81 and I thought it was for my actual mobile phone but I'm with 3, not O2.
I just tried calling 150 and pressed the option to discuss my O2 account but the person put me on hold for 45 minutes and the call was then disconnected without explanation.
Please can someone help, as I don't want to have to explain it all over again on the phone only to get hung up on again, as I'm a bit deaf, so my Daughter has to help. O2 didn't seem to have any record of my account and I don't have a reference number because, as far as I'm concerned I don't have an account with O2! I've never received any bills from them or agreed to a Direct Debit with them.
I'm loathe to just cancel the DD because I want a refund for the money already taken and don't want a credit agency coming after me for payment if a contract has been set up without my knowledge. Should I take it up with my bank as fraud under the Direct Debit guarantee?
